Sanjay Bhanjana is Director of Watershed’s operations in India. He brings to the Watershed team a strong background in Sourcing and Procurement and an entrepreneurial mindset to expand Watershed’s negotiation training in the India and EAP marketplace.
Sanjay is a passionate Sourcing & Procurement professional who understands the sales reps’ approach as well as the procurement negotiation strategies that result in sustainable agreements. He began his career on the sales side with the Fortune 500 industrial company, ITW India, and eventually found his passion for procurement.
During his career Sanjay has negotiated hundreds of global agreements that led to significant cost reduction and improved customer engagement. Negotiating these large contracts across Direct & Indirect spend; IT and Non- IT categories; Facilities (greenfield, brownfield and maintenance); Engineering products & Equipment is a hallmark of his experience. Working with global vendors for supply to global locations has been his forte over the years, while aligning closely with CXO's & multi-cultural stakeholders.
Previously Sanjay set up, managed and grew the Strategic Sourcing function in Fortune 500 organizations in India’s IT, Telecom & Engineering sector with NTT Data, Corning, Alcoa, and British Council. He excelled at implementing strong systems, processes and controls on which organizations were built, and leveraged the scale once the function was established.
Sanjay likes to play Table Tennis and read books in his free time. He holds a CPM-lifetime (Certified Purchasing Manager) from ISM (Institute for Supply Mnagement USA), is certified in World Bank Procurement Procedures by World Bank and ASCI (Administrative Staff College of India for practicing managers). He also holds a Diploma in Management from IIFT, New Delhi, India and B.E. (Metallurgy) from Punjab Engineering College, Chandigarh, India.
